About Us

The Fayette County EMS Association (FCEMSA) is the official countywide advisory body for Emergency Medical Services in Fayette County, Iowa. Established in accordance with Iowa law, the Association exists to support, coordinate, and strengthen EMS delivery across the county.
FCEMSA serves as the required county EMS advisory board, providing oversight, guidance, and collaboration among all EMS agencies that operate within Fayette County service areas. Every EMS agency with a designated service area in the county is represented within the Association, ensuring unified leadership and coordinated decision-making.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, FCEMSA is responsible for the distribution of Iowa Area 6 EMS grant funds within the county. These funds are allocated to support equipment purchases, training initiatives, system improvements, and other projects that enhance emergency medical response capabilities for our communities.
Through cooperative leadership, responsible stewardship of grant resources, and a shared commitment to high standards of care, the Fayette County EMS Association works to strengthen the county’s EMS system and ensure reliable, professional emergency medical services for all residents and visitors.
